Análisis de la productividad científica iberoamericana en la categoría temática de estudios urbanos durante el periodo 2005-2014

The aim of this paper was to establish the contribution of Latin American researchers in the category of urban studies. To accomplish this, all the documents registered in this research category by the Web of Science database, during 2005-2014, were analyzed. We established that the Latin American input incremented within 10 years, reaching up to 6% of the total documents published worldwide. The journal Eure was the main medium used by researchers from eight Latin American countries, contributing to the development of a category that studies urban issues, similar to the ones found in English-speaking countries, but considering the identity and cultural diversity.
