Abstract

The research presented, relates external sources of information and cooperation activities, with relevance of barriers to innovation and intention to innovate again. We study 704 Chilean SMEs that claim to have innovated during 2013 and 2014. The results show that only some sources of information are associated with innovation barriers and with the intention of continuing to innovate. It is evident that the importance of information obtained from suppliers and competitors, has a link with greater relevance of innovation barriers, also, that the importance of information obtained from clients and the participation of the organization in cooperation activities, are associated favorably with the Intention to re-innovate.
