Abstract
Trajectories of child health care allude to the path traveled by individuals alongside their social group as they experience, interact, and negotiate various models of illness. The ethnography we carried out focuses on how Atacameño mothers and their children from the community of Toconao (San Pedro de Atacama, Chile) experience different healthcare trajectories vis-à-vis various illness models that they encounter. Particular attention was given to the contexts, possibilities, and negotiations in which these mothers address matters related to early childhood health, disease, and care.
