Resumen
Density and absolute viscosity were measured for four binary mixtures composed by ethylene glycol diethyl ether and 1-alkanol (1-propanol to 1-hexanol). The measurements were carried out at 0.1 MPa and at four temperatures between 293.15 and 323.15 K. The density for the pure fluids and mixtures was correctly modeled with a perturbed chain-statistical associating fluid theory equation of state (PC-SAFT EoS). On the other hand, free volume theory combined with the equation of state was able to correctly model the absolute viscosity for all mixtures. The Redlich-Kister model was successfully applied in the correlation of derived properties as deviation in viscosity and excess volume. Also, the molecular interactions were studied from PC-SAFT EoS and the results of the excess volume.
