Resumen

In this work densities, speeds of sound, and refractive indices of the binary mixtures involving 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP) with acetonitrile, toluene, 1-pentanol, and 1-hexanol were measured at different temperatures, T = (303.15, 313.15 and 323.15) K over the whole composition range (xAMP = 0-1) and at atmospheric pressure. The derived properties including excess molar volumes, VmE, isentropic compressibilities, κs, deviation in isentropic compressibilities, Δκs, and deviation in refractive indices, ΔnD were calculated from the experimental densities, speeds of sound, and refractive indices and correlated as a function of temperature using the Redlich-Kister polynomial equation. The excess properties of the prepared binary mixtures were found to be positive, negative, or S-shape curves as a function of the composition of xAMP. The results have been interpreted in terms of molecular interactions and molecular structures occurring between the binary systems.
